Welcome to the 10 years!
An exhibition of photographs / montages and paintings / prints by Fabian Bross and Martin Höppl
The first decade of the 21st Century is over. Welcome to the 10s! To kick off the new decade, we want to maintain a small review. With images from the last year and just a few glances back to the beginning of the millennium. Date than any established art fair, we ran into some factory sets and picture collisions an experimental cross-section of the recent work of Fabian and Martin Bross Höppl. The location of the presentation is just as unconventional as its subject. As part of a double exhibition, which in this form will be shown only once, is the staircase of a rear house in Munich's Westend. This exhibition context allows direct contact with the works and highlights their strong life-world anchoring. Still, they are not part of a museum presentation context and speak directly to the visitor - without increased aesthetic threshold.
(3) some of my pictures from 2010 in the 1st OG

The core of the presentation are several cycles abstract (acrylic on paper). Moreover, some recently created, autobiographical work to see that dealt with by the pop-art elements, a certain correspondence with the work of Bross have.
(6 & 7): Fabian Bross: Photo-collages in the stairwell
Fabian Bross has recorded in recent times a number of street art found objects with the camera. His documentary work reflects a part of the creative Munich. The non-institutionally embedded Urban Art thus becomes a mirror of the recent urban development. The photographs of urban street art in public spaces are not just traces and vestiges of subversive appropriation of space forms, they reflect the social space of the city of paradise and hell, petrified mountains and open project at the same time. develop from the fantastic wealth of everyday photographs also pledged his pop art collages and montages that integrate finally pornographic elements. This image overlays use the form sent correspondence to play with the confusing potential of the figurations and also allow the examination of the cited works of world art. So there are famous paintings, such as the City View of Delft by Jan Vermeer, whose tactile sensuality with the flat pornography of our time will be set in relation. had detached
