18.9.10 Usterling, Landau ad Donau, Mariakirchen
Am 18.9. I was invited to the wedding of my great cousins. On this occasion I went to church before or Usterling at Landau ad Isar . The churches in the area I had seen in the last year, but not the late-Gothic altar by Usterling. This time I measured Erin has extra unlocked (thank you). In the beautiful late summer sun, there was a special experience. The altar is probably from the Leinberger school and should be in the war for a lot of money to U.S. soldiers be sold. Well, it's not happened. On the altar wings relief with the baptism of Christ the Rock of so-called Growing Usterling is shown (see below).

(4) Scream monitor with panel paintings of the altar wing
A stone's throw from the church on edge is the natural wonder Growing Rock - very impressive. But look!

(6) Plaque on a house in Landau ad Isar
was after this experience a little stroll through Landau ad Isar on the program. The parish church of St. Mary of Dominic magazine I've seen already in two other visits, said it was open only to the grid. After the interval, in Landau went to the wedding to Maria churches.

(8) Parish Assumption (1741)
At the entrance of the small village Mariakirchen at Arnstorf (between Landau and parishes ) is a small water tower . Who knows the extensive portfolio "Historico-topographica descriptio Bavaria" (1701-26) by Michael Wening knows that it has previously been much more such country manor. The farm buildings are used as a brewery restaurant, the castle as a restaurant and hotel. The little castle is a four-winged building and enter through a gate tower (7). Near the castle was built recently a modern hotel, which is entered through an old garden shed. The next day I made a smaller church tour in the area (eg by churches and Fürstenzell ).
